Our attorneys began their careers as prosecutors in Travis County, bringing a wealth of insight to the defense side. Chris Gunter, former chief of the trial division at the Travis County Attorney’s Office and later at the District Attorney’s Office, is board-certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in criminal law and has tried cases ranging from capital murder to public intoxication since 1985. Alan Bennett, joining in 1992, and Gene Anthes, joining in 2007, both former Travis County Attorneys, contribute extensive trial experience and deep legal knowledge to
